Revert "Nic based metrics"

This reverts commit 06ac3aff575a1437370980c6feb6293d000f8618.

There are bugs in LibreHardwareMonitor surrounding correctness of
NIC-enabled metrics and performance in retrieving these metrics. So until
bug fixes are fixed upstream, I'm reverting to the last known good state.
